Paul Lueders, Oboe

A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Paul Lueders earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Oboe Performance at the New England Conservatory of Music before assuming his role as Principal Oboe of the San Antonio Symphony. His teachers include John Ferrillo of the Boston Symphony and Anne Marie Gabriele of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Paul has appeared as guest Principal Oboe with the Pittsburgh Symphony and the Baltimore Symphony and was a regular guest performer with the New World Symphony.  As a member of two New England Conservatory Honors Ensembles (Zephyrus Wind Quintet and Trio Auloi), Paul was featured in recital performances at Boston’s Jordan Hall. 

 

Paul has appeared as soloist in Vivaldi’s Oboe Concerto in A minor with the Boston Accompanietta and the Bach Double Concerto for Oboe and Violin with the New England Conservatory Bach Ensemble. He has been a fellow at several prestigious summer music programs including the Aspen Music Festival, Music Academy of the West, and the Tanglewood Music Center.
