Sharon Kuster is Principal Bassoon of the former San Antonio Symphony, where she has been a featured soloist on several occasions. She was previously a member of La Orquesta Sinfónica de Veracruz in Mexico. Sharon earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of California where she studied with the late Norman Herzberg.
In addition to summer festival appearances at the Breckenridge Music Institute, the Sunriver Music Festival, the Cactus Pear Music Festival, and the Masterworks Festival in Indiana, Sharon has performed at the Grand Teton Music Festival in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for over twenty summers. She teaches bassoon privately at her home studio in San Antonio.
